Common questions

How do I add a place?

There are three ways: (1) Paste an Apple Maps link — copy a link from Apple Maps and paste it into Navve; the name, address, and coordinates are extracted automatically. (2) Paste any address — paste a full street address and Navve geocodes it for you. (3) Add manually — fill in the details yourself using the form.

Where is my data stored?

Your data is stored in your personal iCloud account (if iCloud is enabled for Navve) or only on your device (if iCloud is disabled). We never have access to your places. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

Does Navve sync across devices?

Navve syncs across your iPhone and other iOS devices via iCloud. Make sure iCloud is enabled for Navve under Settings → Apple ID → iCloud → Navve. Changes sync automatically in the background — no manual action needed. A macOS companion app is coming in Q2 2026.

What's the difference between Free and Pro?

Both plans give you access to every feature — collections, search, filters, directions, iCloud sync, and more. The only difference is the place limit: Free lets you save up to 8 places, Pro gives you unlimited places.

How does the Pro purchase work?

Pro is a one-time purchase of $4.99 — no subscription, no recurring fees. Pay once and it's yours forever, including on any future devices you sign into with the same Apple ID. Use Settings → Restore Purchase if you reinstall the app or switch devices.

How do I export my places?

Open Navve → Settings → Export Places. You can copy the formatted list to your clipboard or share it via Messages, Email, AirDrop, or any other app. Exports include the place name, category, address, coordinates, website, notes, and status.

What happens if I delete the app?

If you use iCloud: your data stays safely in your iCloud account. Reinstall Navve and everything comes back automatically.
If you don't use iCloud: all data is stored only on your device — deleting the app deletes it permanently. Export your places first if you want a backup.

Does Navve track my location?

No. Location access is only used on-device when you open the map view or use "Sort by distance". We never receive, store, or track your location. You can deny location permission and Navve works fine — you just won't see distance-based sorting.

Is there a Mac app?

A native macOS companion app is coming in the second quarter of 2026. It will share the same iCloud data as your iPhone — add and organize places on your Mac, then navigate on your phone.
